Default Sabotage LDoA?!

So today I was questing trying to finish up my LDoA, I was going to do the quest "Across The Wall" so I posted up a search "lfg across the wall."

I finally got a partner and he started talking to NPC who activiates the Pos-searing mission, I was curious about this so I left the party.

It might be just a coincidence and maybe I am just over cautious but it got me to wondering Could that person have taken me out of pre searing? Ive heard of people trying to sabotage other peoples Survivor title so I thought this guy might be trying to take my LDoA >:I

Im not sure if that quest is solo or not, wiki says its a co-op mish with a party size of 4?

YES. It does take you out of Pre . And You CANNOT GO BACK. this person did try to sabotage you. and if not, was looking for a high level companion for the mission to post.
the latter being sabotage. you were VERY lucky to have left. because you WOULD have lost Your Ldoa title. Consider yourself lucky. very.very.lucky.

Yea, that would have royally sucked.

Congrats on your LDoA tho, I'm assuming you've gotten it already, or at least are on your last DL. What profession? I got it on a Necro

Actually I heard they fixed it just for that very same reason, people used to screw up your LDoA by taking you outside. Most common counter for this is to not accept your secondary profession reward until as late as possible as you can't leave without it.

i almost had it once, not with LDoA, but with i char i didnt want to leave pre with yet
i was looking at the guy, and left him when i saw him going to post

in other words, when someone joins, first look where he/she is
if too close at the npc, decline, if far away from it, you can accept, just keep an eye on him/her

i've tried it before, logging out once the counter started, wont help a bit
it was my own fault back then, and was no perma pre char
but just watch it

I thought they had changed this so that both party members had to accept?

EDIT
from wiki
As of the September 13th, 2007 game update, players must now talk to Sir Tydus individually. This was done to prevent players from being taken through The Searing involuntarily.

That, and I thought you actually had to fight some humans/npcs, then go kill some stuff in a cave to complete the move to post-searing. Or does it happen just by entering the little arena?

While it may be that someone was trying to sabotage you, it is also possible that the quest name "Across the Wall" would lead some new players to think that was the same thing as going to post-searing. I haven't played in pre in a long time. It would have confused me if I didn't think it through.

TheodenKing: As soon as you enter the arena, you cannot ever go back to Pre on that character. If you log out or anything, you reappear in the explorable area with the prince and Doomtooth etc. So yeah, that would royally suck.
And yes, once the countdown timer for leaving ascalon city to go into the academy starts, as long as you are still in the city, if you close GW or log off quickly, you will NOT be taken outside. However, I don't understand how the OP left the party, as once a countdown timer starts anywhere, you're generally not allowed to edit party members. Maybe he logged out or something.
Anyway, close call OP. If that were me, after I just barely missed that disaster, I would have turned off my computer, sat down in something comfy and supportive, and allowed myself to have a minor heart attack. Then I would not go on any LDoA or survivor characters until I calmed down. :P

Tested this recently. We were 2 going to post, and each of us got the "the other player must accept etc.". Strange thing is, after we both accepted it still didn't work so we ended up splitted (and dunno why that time we wren't even given arena but straight to che charrs and post )

So, I'm pretty sure you didn't risk anything. The guy was either trying to sabotage but not well informed or just confused on what quest you meant.

Sometimes there aren't enough players to do a match, and you are directly sent to the cooperative mission.
